A old theater very important for the historical and archaeological heritage has come to light during the excavations carried out in Ierapetra, Crete.
Work has now focused on the cleanliness of the place to begin a new series of excavations. During a first meeting on June 14 between City Councilor Manos Markopoulos, Mayor Sifis Anastasakis and specialists in archeology, 45 volunteers were chosen to work on this discovery.
Ierapetra has along its land a great historical and archaeological heritage part of which is now the old theater. It is of great importance for the municipal authorities to obtain voluntary and active support for the execution of this work, for this reason the mayor thanked Makopoulos and the volunteers for the interest shown so far.
I was born in Madrid on August 27, 1988 and since then I started a work of which there is no example. Fascinated by both numbers and letters and a lover of the unknown, that is why I am a future graduate in Economics and Journalism, interested in understanding life and the forces that have shaped it. Everything is easier, more useful and more exciting if, with a look at our past, we can improve our future and for that… History.
