An urban project has been paralyzed due to the discovery of what could be a archaeological site located in the municipality of The Plains of Aridane (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands). An important tourist promoter collaborates with the Ministry of Culture and with the Historical Heritage Section of the Cabildo Palmero in the place where the first land tastings will be carried out to determine the importance of the find.

The promoter, despite wanting to continue with the works, preferred to report the finding and in this way preserve what may be one more element of the archaeological heritage of the island. According to several technicians, the behavior of this promoter is not usually the most common, since most of the time, employers tend to continue with the works ignoring the cultural and archaeological value of the remains found.

María Victoria Hernández, Minister of Education and Culture, explained that the location of the site needs to be kept secret, the excavation of which could take a month to later be protected. For his part, Jorge Pais, as head of the Historical Heritage Section, has commented that it seems to be an important necropolis, in which several incinerated fossil remains have been found.

I was born in Madrid on August 27, 1988 and since then I started a work of which there is no example. Fascinated by both numbers and letters and a lover of the unknown, that is why I am a future graduate in Economics and Journalism, interested in understanding life and the forces that have shaped it. Everything is easier, more useful and more exciting if, with a look at our past, we can improve our future and for that… History.
