No.144 Squadron at Hemswell

Here we see a line-up of members of No.144 Squadron in front of one of their Handley Page Hampdens at RAF Hemswell. It is just possible to make out the pilots wings and single winged aircrew brevet badges of the crew members, showing that the front row is made up entirely of pilots, and the other two of a mix of both.

Many thanks to Roger Griffith, the nephew of Sgt. A.J. Griffiths of No.144 Squadron, for sending us these pictures.

But still! But still! I'll come up with a thought. Or I'll do my homework for tomorrow ... One out of five, the eighth won't come

Just that is necessary. An interesting theme, I will participate.
